Moleskine Doodlings by callupish Moleskine Doodlings by callupish
I won a free Moleskine Sketchbook some time ago from a giveaway and it arrived last Friday! UWAAAA I'm so glad; I've been itching for a professional sketchbook to show to other people because seriously, all my other sketchbooks are super embarrassing (and spoilerly and full of junk).

Playing around with doggie shapes! And other doodlings.

So much love for all of your doodles, oh goodness me <3. You've pulled off the doggie shapes so nicely! How dignified mr. Borzoi looks, and oolala, the prosh poodle :'D

[also, what are you talking about, grims is the cutest all the time <3]

I love how everything here seems to make space for one another! Especially with the dogs. Sure is interesting!

Ahh, thank you, Alex! I picked that up looking from sketchdumps of several artists, especially the ones who studied in Ringling (they seem to have a thing for making space for their character designs). I really liked the look, so I just went with it.

OOOHHH CUUUUTE. I'm finding dogs are the best for drawing. And you capture their weird shapes perfectly.

Thanks, Marissa!
Dogs have been one of those things I have been drawing since....the dawn of time, so it was natural. I only realised some time ago that they could be distorted in an interesting way other than what is generic around here.
